Sure ther were covers without any grounding.
The point is, that wrong potential differences occurred.
One should not start fantasysing.
If such a cover is placed on or under a mattress, how in heavens name could it absorb HF Radiation coming from a horizontal layer?
It only can absorb radiation from a DECT or modem from a neighbour who lives underneath you.
So, do not believe all those fairy tales.
Overhere, some electrosensitives have also fallen in those traps and believed the humbug, but they ALL returned the goods after testing.
But everybody is free to believe what he/she wants.

Yes, but aren't you talking about the "Earthing" mattress covers, that need
to be connected to a ground source?
That website describes a different product, "The Shield":
-- it goes UNDER the mattress, not over it
-- it is NOT connected to a ground source
-- it ABSORBS EMF, not redirects it to a ground source
-- it contains NO METAL, and it instead made from dielectric ceramics
I don't think anyone here has any personal experience with this
particular product.
