this is so weird timing - I have just slaved over my laptop for a least
8hrs trying to suss out why my ethernet card was not working, tried mY ISP for
advice etc no luck, tried to download drivers etc no luck in the end it
was just as simple as going into the bios using f2 and enabling the card !!!!
I feel tottaly spaced out now, basically the router I had that was wired
did not work so I gave up and turned to the premium router from my ISP -AOL,
as this has multiple lan ethernet ports, sadly its wireless and has
extended range, so I disabled this no problem, but here is where it ties in with
this topic thread -
The AOL router has the most horrendous electric field coming form it
reaching out at 0ver 80 voltsper meter at 1m away from the unit - this is due to
the no earthed plug on the switched mode power supply, that may well be
what is effecteing the other person who wrote the original thread here.
Checking the noise form the router using an AM radio revealed that it was so
noisy that it was broadcasting from my fishtank some 10 mteres away. I now
have really bad timitus in my right ear as if someone has clapped their hands
over my ear or there has been a loud explosion.
I will see if I can change the power supply.

advertise that you have a NEW modem that you'd

susceptible.

my router/modem had died after a collision with a jug of cold water. I
spoke to talk talk who mailed out a new modem directly, except that this new
modem was a new upgraded variety, which when I plugged it in,literally blew
off my head and shriveled my adrenals and kidneys within seconds. I
immediately unplugged it and spoke to the ISP call centre who informed me that the
old routers were no longer available and that in future all their modems
would now be the new updated variety ( they look like a little rectangular tv
styled box. The man on the phone was very helpful, and suggested I switch
off the wi fi facility, which I did; however, when I turned the thing back
on I immediately got a sharp muscular pain in my side, which I imagine was
a reactionary spasm to the force of the field that the now wifi less box
was giving off. It was overwhelming to say the least, and worrying as the

transition to these new units. Even after turning the thing off and burying it in
the bottom drawer, I still had a pain in my side for 2 days. I have no
explanation as to what or how this happened, but I know that these new modem's
are very very strong and debilitating, with or without the wi fi feature. I
have since been on ebay and managed to get a another of my old modem, and
intend to buy a few for future keeps, as from what talk talk said, these
old modems are no longer bieng produced and soon only the new version will be
available. I recommend that others do the same.
