I'm still not convinced that in 3 or 4 years when the masses have these things that purchasing a wifi-less router is going to be the end all be all-- we can only hope.  Don't you think that at some point in time we will have to get up off of the cans and take a real political stand for our future?

Better to just replace the modem -- modems are relatively
inexpensive, especially the older ones that don't have
wi-fi built into them.
