Hi Paul,

The GPS unit itself doesn't send out any signals, it only receives signals from satellites. I know that some smartphones with GPS also use WiFi and cell signals to increase accuracy. Maybe that navigation system does the same in which case it might also transmit some signals, but only if the car is on. Were you already sensitive to microwaves? Maybe you became sensitized when the unit was first turned on. Or maybe it was just a coincidence and something else is causing the problem. Try parking the car somewhere else for one night.
