Could you post the specific monitor you got?  I ordered a monitor a few
years back that met the Swedish TCO specs,
but I found it to be pretty bad, probably due to the RF emissions (MHz).

FitPC makes small desktops.  I don't know how their latest model is.  I do
think SSD is better than a hard drive,
though they are expensive if you need a lot of space, and not too clear how
long they last...
