If you plan on replacing the Airport Express, you will need a router, because each computer needs its own unique IP address, and Comcast is only giving you one. Routers will assign unique private IP addresses to all of your computers, solving that problem.

But the Airport Express has two Ethernet ports, and it is a router, so you could connect the switch to it.  The only question then is whether it is possible to turn off Wi-Fi on the Airport Express.
