Did You Know...
... that there is a remarkable and completely free technique for lowering blood pressure, boosting heart health, reducing pain and inflammation?
Until recent times, people lived in close daily contact with the Earth. They walked barefoot on the ground and slept close to or directly on the Earth. Ancient healers believed Earth's energy could be easily absorbed through our skin and through the soles of our feet.
Now we know this absorption of energy was real, and had significant health benefits. We can reclaim those benefits through a simple and free technique called "Earthing."
The Healing Phenomenon of the Earth's Electrons
Kelly Pepper, D.C. explains that the flow of energy between our bodies and Mother Earth works to support the various systems in our body and scavenge up free radicals that promote inflammation. "Our planet has a negative electrical potential that is generated by solar winds, our ionosphere, and lightning storms," she says. "When our skin is in direct contact with the earth we maintain the same electrical potential as our planet. This phenomenon has been occurring mostly without interference up until the last several generations."
Now, however, most people always wear shoes outdoors. Most shoes have thick soles that block the natural flow of electrons. Most modern people rarely make direct skin contact with the Earth.
Earthing for Healthy Blood Pressure and Heart Health
According to the renowned integrative cardiologist Stephen Sinatra M.D., co-author of Earthing: The Most Important Health Discovery Ever, Earthing can have potent effects for healthy blood pressure.
"Blood should flow like red wine—smoothly and easily," he says. "Too many people have thicker blood, more like ketchup. That takes a lot more effort from the heart to circulate, and the pressure against the inside of arteries and blood vessels is much higher!" Thinning the blood helps to lower blood pressure ... and Earthing can help thin the blood.
"Indications are that Earthing is indeed a natural solution to thinning the blood," says Dr. Sinatra. "Earthing's positive effects on blood viscosity are so impressive, in fact, that those on certain medications, such as prescription blood thinners, need to be careful when beginning an Earthing program."
Other studies have shown Earthing may support heart health in other ways, as well, including reducing stress ... balancing the autonomic nervous system ... and managing levels of cortisol (a stress hormone).
What is an "Earthing Program?"
Earthing (also called grounding) means reconnecting your body with the free electrons that flow through the Earth's surface. It can be as simple, easy, and free as walking barefoot outdoors. Some health practitioners also recommend special conductive pads for use on the floor or while sleeping in bed. These devices plug into a 3-pronged electrical grounding outlet—a bit like an extension cord that connects you to the Earth's energy.
"Both actions allow the Earth's free electrons to enter the body, where they synchronize all of your bioelectrical systems and powerfully reduce inflammation," says Dr. Sinatra. He offers simple tips to consider for getting started with Earthing:
Walk barefoot outside when possible (and when outdoors isn't realistic, a heated basement with a concrete floor will do, but wood and vinyl floors are not conductive).
As little as 40 minutes a day barefoot outdoors (or on a conductive surface) can bring significant positive results.
Grass, sand, dirt, and concrete are conductive surfaces. Your body can draw the Earth's electrons from all of these.
Rest your bare feet on the ground whenever possible.
Use a specially designed conductive grounding device during sleep or relaxation.
Widespread Health Benefits ... From Injury to Sleep to Anti-Aging
The most important health benefit of Earthing is that it provides the body with abundant electrons from the Earth. This electron transfer appears to have a major impact on the inflammatory process.
Studies of Earthing have shown benefit for:
pain reducing symptoms of Lyme disease
inflammation
sleep problems
acute sprains
muscular strains
joint conditions
chronic sinusitis
allergies
asthma
osteoporosis
and more
It is also believed that Earthing may promote longevity by reducing inflammation and oxidation.
The website of the Earthing Institute provides details about all of the latest research on Earthing, as well as various instructions for practicing Earthing outdoors or with conductive devices.

A Secret Ingredient Inside Egg Yolks Could Save
1 Million Sets of Eyes Every Year—INCLUDING YOURS!
Vision loss is often treated as an expected part of aging; we take it as a matter of course, along with memory and hearing decline. But aging gracefully doesn't mean surrender. While we may have to accept that we are getting older, we don't have to accept the challenges that come with aging as inevitable. Vision loss can be prevented and corrected when you fortify your eyesight with vision-enhancing nutrients.
Most of us are familiar with the popular food myth "eating carrots can help you see in the dark." There is, however, a degree of truth to this old wives tale. Carrots are high in beta-carotene, a potent carotenoid that converts to vitamin-A if your body happens to be vitamin-A deficient. But if you are not vitamin-A deficient, your eyes just aren't benefitting, no matter how many carrots you consume.
It's not the "c" in carrots, but the "c" in carotenoids that promote superior eye health. Carotenoids are colorful plant pigments that dye our foods with color. The yellow in corn and squash, and the orange in oranges, pumpkins and carrots are all signs of foods high in carotenoids. But carotenoids are more than just natural food coloring; they are an abundant source of antioxidants that help prevent many diseases and nourish healthy eyes.
Colorful vegetables such as spinach, kale and collard greens are indeed packed with carotenoids, but there is an even richer source of carotenoid that specifically prevents age-related cataracts and other vision impairments. What's white on the outside and yellow in the middle? Eggs—an abundant source of this secret ingredient. But don't just stick to the egg white! The yellow yolk of an egg is the source of its vision-enhancing power.
Our Eyes: A Delicate Web of Cells
Our eyes are made up of thousands of specialized cells. As we age, these cells become weakened, and we may find we do not see fine detail as clearly, or our vision starts to blur and it becomes more and more difficult to see in the dark. The retina, which is the region in the back of the eye that filters light and provides vision, is particularly affected.
Our eyesight depends on an area in the retina called the macula, which is responsible for deciphering fine details and supporting clear vision. Aging, sunlight exposure, smoking and diet cause the macula to disintegrate over time. As the center of your field of vision wears away you may have a more difficult time seeing, especially in bright or dark conditions. Driving, reading and other activities you use to take for granted are suddenly threatened. You are not alone: 1.75 million Americans experience age-related macular degeneration, a primary cause of vision loss and blindness in Americans ages 65 and up. That number is expected to increase to as much as 3 million by 2020.
You Don't Have to Be Part of That Statistic
A growing collection of research points to two essential nutrients that support eye health and reduce the risk of cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration, by decreasing the risk of oxidative damage to the retina's delicate structure. These carotenoids are the only ones that are specifically concentrated in the retinol region of the eye.
You may not be familiar with the names of these two carotoneids: lutein (LOO-teen) and zeaxanthin (zee-ah-ZAN-thin). In nature, these carotenoids protect plants by blocking excess sunlight, particularly intense light energy rays called blue light. These nutrients shield our eye lens from harmful blue light in much the same way. They accumulate in the macula, tinting the eye with a dark yellow pigment that blocks damaging blue light, thereby preventing light-induced trauma to the retina.
An article featured in Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today reports, "There is no doubt that blue light is a source of oxidative stress via its interaction with retinal chromophores."
The Power of Two
Studies show that together, lutein and zeaxanthin significantly reduce the risk of vision loss. Patients with retinas with high concentrations of these carotenoids exhibit an 82% higher level of retinal protection than those with retinas containing low levels. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that of the 77,466 nurses studied, those with the highest levels of lutein and xeaxanthin had clearer, healthier retinas than those with lower concentrations of these carotenoids.
A research study published in Experimental Eye Research specifically addressed the effect of lutein supplements on eye health. Results indicate that patients taking a lutein supplement for 140 days showed a 30% improvement in retinal function. A study in Investigative Ophthalmology provides evidence in xeaxanthin's ability to defend against oxidative damage from short-wavelength visible light.
The antioxidant properties of these carotenoids guard our eyes against free radical damage—free radicals are unstable molecules that kill cells and propagate disease. The delicate structures of the retina remain intact and healthy when we supplement with lutein and xeaxanthin. Eating a healthy amount of eggs and greens is a start, but to protect and regenerate optimal eye health it is important to supplement with these nutrients daily.
Fading Vision is NOT Inevitable As You Age
Board certified family physician Dr. Michael Cutler has created a breakthrough medical report to
show you the 14 other essential nutrients that, when used in conjunction with one another, stop vision loss and restore vision back to excellent. Click here to discover why Harvard and 25 of the world's most respected medical journals attest to the powerful capabilities of these sight saving nutrients. When used daily and in the right concentration, vision gradually improves until you find you no longer reach for your reading glasses, but are enjoying the newspaper without spectacles, or the headache you normally get from reading the fine print.
