I was surprise to hear that you'd need to pay for it. Sheesh.
They can't feel it, but we can help them "hear" and "see" it by using a radiation meter. Cornet ED-7 is economical and effective enough in my experience. Turn the volume all the way up to hear it go EEEEEE.... It doesn't guarantee that they'll opt out. But it's pretty *impress*ive and makes them think about it.
