For those like me who live in apt. buildings this won't help at all. I have 4 meters outside my bedroom and if I pay to remove mine I'll still have 3 there. No way I'm paying to remove all 4 then give my neighbors $10 each every month.
I have SDGE and I assume they're going to follow the same formula
