I use a manual massage-thingee. It's a long rod, in an S-shape. On it are various knobs and posts, designed to reach various areas of the body. Examples: a couple of knobs are spaced to accommodate the neck/spine, another couple are spaced to be used across the sacrum. The posts help to focus deep pressure. It's amazing how much self-massage can be accomplished!

He also invented a massage tool similar to the Body Buddy; I don't like it or the short BB as well as the long BB. On Amazon, do a search for Body Buddy, and you'll see several types.
