Re: smart meters

Hi Stewart and Kathy,

I have about the 5% the functioning level of a healthy person, and
have no help.  Despite this, I managed to make and print up flyers,
and get them distributed in my neighborhood.  I've posted signs in my
front window.  I've put flyers out on my front lawn for people to take
(which they haven't).  I even handed out flyers to the parents of the
trick-or-treaters who came to my house.  Quite frankly, nobody cares.
They don't have the consciousness to be open to hearing something they
don't want to hear. I don't have the ability to talk to my neighbors.
I'm 95% house bound, and introvert.  I'm lucky to be able to get
dressed most days.  I'm shy and just don't have the energy to have
conversations with people I barely know.  Even if I could, I get
nervous and forget important things to tell them, and sound like an
idiot.  Some people are good at being persuasive; I'm not one of
them.  I've tried to do what I can, but this is all to overwhelming
given my state of health.  I haven't done the dishes for a week b/c
I've been too sick.  That's what's frustrating:  because I've been
affected, I know the dangers, but because I'm sick I can't be the
activist I need to be to protect myself.  I can't do the shielding
things you all talk about b/c I don't have the strength/ability, or
someone to do it for me.  I'm a renter so I can't do modifications to
the electrical or anything else to the house.  I have CFIDS, MCS and
ES, and I'm now a senior citizen with an older body that's been
debilitated for the past 21 years from illness.  I can only do what I
can do, which unfortunately, isn't enough.  I'm not giving up; just
being frustrated and rather discouraged.  But I do appreciate everyone
in this group, and all the information being shared.  It helps.

Thanks,

Esther
