When they start installing smart meters here (and that will happen soon
also in Australia, as they are currently in the trial stage), then I
will put a rope on our veranda with a sign "no entrance to anyone
representing AusGrid" (the electricity company doing this stuff). And
maybe another sign on the meter itself. Luckily we own our home, so we
can decide whether to get such a meter or not (NOT!). And I hope that by
then we have the solar panels on our roof, so that we aren't even
dependent on them anyway (gives them fewer possibilities to manipulate us).
Of course we can't do anything about the other houses in the street, but
they are a bit further away, so I hope that will have less influence.
