Sure they have a flavor sort of mettalic bolstered by the electric effect  
in the mouth, re the tooth socket its basically an open wound slowly  
healing so its kinda like a volcano whose just had the lava skimmed off the top,  
a doorway out of hell !

I didn't know mercury fillings had a flavor... :-)

But  yes, in the past I have taken too much heavy metal chelation products,
only  to end up with several symptoms -- dehydration, fatigue, headache,
and also  a metallic taste in my mouth...
