Ahhh, well I can certainly recall having to stay 20+ feet away from
my old ~1990 Sony 32" tube TV with analog (480i) input, and these days
I have no problem being close to my ~2009 Panasonic 37" LCD HDTV
with digital (1080i) input.

I *will* say that I avoid 1080p inputs, because I notice symptoms
from that -- but all of the HDTV equipment I have allows me to
choose between 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i.
