I haven't found one, but if you do, please post it.
I personally have a huge file of info from the web which I'm trying to
consolidate to make flyers for the neighborhood, but I'm already so
sick from EHS, CFIDS and MCS, it's being an exercise in futility. Our
utility company, (PG&E in Northern California) is currently peppering
the air waves with TV ads showing happy, elderly people who are
delighted that now they can track their energy usage to cut costs and
save money. What the ads don't show is the PG&E just got a rate hike
on low-end energy users, and a rate reduction on high-end energy users
from the PUC. (Gosh, those people in mansions with their swimming
pools really need a break, don't they?) The hypocrisy is stunning.
But they can't make their outrageous profits by people cutting back on
energy use, and that's what it's really all about, isn't it?
They've also proposed to the PUC an "opt-out option" for people who
don't want smart meters. It involves installing the smart meter and
turning the radio function off for a huge fee, and then charging a
monthly fee for a meter reader, and then charging a huge exit fee if
the resident moves. Of course, the SMPS (the non-radio part of the
meter) also causes EMF problems, and is probably responsible for the
ringing-in-the ears and spikes on the house's internal wiring.
They are furiously installing smart meters in S.F. without notice to
the customer ahead of time. People who don't want one might end up
getting one when they are not home. If people refuse, PG&E is now
threatening them with discontinuation of service, and tells them they
can use another power company---except there isn't another power
company.
I'm furious, and also terrified because I'm too sick to move from
here. In my wildest dream, I never imagined such an Orwellian
scenario becoming my reality.
