EMF protection is really difficult.  You think you've escaped one pit only to fall into another one.  That's happened to me many times.

Yep, grounding is dangerous if done in a high-electrical environment, because then you may become the target of the electrical fields looking to get grounded (whether through visible wires or unseen wires under the flooring and behind the walls).  Additionally the electrical ground is not exactly the same as the earth, and could potentially carry voltage as well, so it's dangerous to connect to the electrical ground.

Btw, I heard that Graham-Stetzer filters don't really work.  They also add their own frequencies onto the wire.  If you use an AM radio on AM setting, you can detect it.

What you need to do is fix the problem at the source -- e.g., replace CFL's with incandescent, replace dimmer switches with regular dipole switches, replace plasma TV's with LCD TV's, etc.  For a more comprehensive list, see http://www.wireless-precaution.com/main/precautions.php

After using it for a few weeks, and getting some very frightening symptoms (terrible headaches and severe eye pain, tinnitus, itching, nausea), I finally traced this to the Earthing mat, and I've been hypersensitive since then. I also have found three others so far who were made ill by this product. But, the Earthing people insist that it's safe and effective. It's not!!
