It's pretty unpredictable how the sound bites will come out.
When I was interviewed they only used stuff I said when I
talking casually with the crew...

BTW, I just realized that since a lot of these smart meters are mesh
networks, they may only send 4 times a day, but the receiver is probably
always on.  With a receiver you (almost always) have a
local oscillator which causes (unwanted) emissions (which is why
the FAA won't let you use an FM radio on an airplane... the
frequency is too close to aircraft band.

Plus if the receiver is always on, it's always needing juice from the
switch mode power supply, and that puts unwanted RF onto the power lines.
