puk replies - 2 things - ground currents and the fact that grounding may be
 only a temporary respite as it seems to me that when you drain away
electrons it  wont take long to fill the void with others. I wonder what is a
healthy level  and how is it maintained. putting the electrons to some use such
as active  exercise may be part of the solution

I'm wondering how much of the earth energy (electrons) would be  blocked by
the bottom of the tent + sleeping bag...
