This is really off topic somewhat but I just HAD to mention it. It may be old
news but as I've not watched TV in weeks I'm not sure. I was reading in a
magazine yesterday about the military using a new weapon (can;t remember the
name of it) that emits milli waves at a target (ie people) which covers their
entire body and heats up the fat and water molecules to a temperature of 56
degrees C. Apparently there are no lasting effects (yeh right) and the temporary
pain it inflicts subsides as soon as the person steps outside the beam. Has
anyone else heard about this? I thought it was a sick joke to begin with but the
more I read the more I realised that this is actually true. Maybe I'm just naive
but I find it hard to comprehend how something like this can exist, even though
technically its no worse I suppose, than nerve gas or any other chemical
weapons. I guess this just resonated more with me as I'm an ES sufferer andmy
immediate thought was- OMG- that would absolutely just kill me dead in an
instant.
