They were both good books, it depends on what you need to know about as to which is the best.  Probably the one "Tracing EMFS in Building wiring and Grounding" by Karl Riley would help most with you understanding your house grounding, tho again, it depends on exactly why you want to know. The "Silencing the Fields" book had great info on the subject of EMFS entering on waterlines. 
 
As to the subject of grounding, you just have to go around your house and look for wires on the outside of your house and investigate where they are going, look for wires inside your house which are attached to  or closeto water pipes, sewerlines, ductwork, gaslines....  SOmetimes you canmiss these due to how the house is constructed or due to the lines being buried, so you need to really inspect closely.  We had 2 grounds at theone house, plus other problems with water pipes/gas pipes carrying emfs from the neighbors.

Which book is better in layman's terms & most informative on guiding one with their home?
 
How do you find out if your house is grounded? Is through those outlet testers? 
 
I'm pretty clueless.

Yes, rocks do conduct frequencies.  The problem is they can conduct toyou or away from you.  So, you must determine which is happening whenyou hang out on a rock.  If you are next to a large body of water, itis most likely always conducting to the large body of water, since your body is much smaller and water is what attracts the emfs.

I hope these help you get a leg up on electricity.  They did help me very much, but I can't say I am still a whiz in the area.  lol  I did figure out that my house had plenty of "ground loops" and was not grounded properly, etc, from these books.  They can both be bought online.  Just google them and you will get a site pop up.

Do rocks conduct electricity? If one is standing on a big rock, that is resting on the ground/dirt/earth, will one's body be grounded? -Sue
