Yes, I have certainly heard that, but you must also take into account
that many things that bind onto metals only do so temporarily, and eventually
they will "drop" those metals. And if those binders are still in your
body when that happens, then they really haven't helped you.

There are supposedly some substances that "never let go" of metals -- zeolite,
OSR#1, etc. But these have their own side effects that I'm not willing to
put up with.
