Well, Kris, although many people concerned with the issue won't agree, whatthe meters read is just faintly related to the subjective discomfort we feel... There are numerous people who have horrific feeling inside the Faraday cages... For me the best way is not to stay too long, and gadgets do a better job...  It took me many years to accept that reality... Just to illustrate: there is much research on the subject that experimental mice avoid such chambers!
