You absolutely want the fluoride out! It is a calcium channel blocker, and it also likes to bind to aluminum and mercury, quite a hot and acid situation when located in the brain, hello Alzheimer's...

There're very few filters that can truly remove it. Dalton is a well known one for that. A search will bring them up, and their sizes.

I would suggest a couple filters in a row, one- the fluoride removing filter, and another for chlorine, etc. If it's carbon, it should be block, not granular.

I use a 3rd filter - half micron one at the sink for drinking water. The water is good, and there is still some mineral in it, as there is a a small amount of sediment in the bottom of pot on the fire, used for humidity in winter.

The best water I get sometimes from town - bring your own bottles, runs through several types of filtration and includes UV lighting as well, it's very good, and even that has a little sediment left in the same situation.
