Well, the software *is* doing something... and I think we'd be in
violation of the terms and conditions of the software agreement if we
tried to figure out exactly what it was doing. :-) The GlobalCoherence
website has some oscilloscope plots showing that it reduces the noise
coming from the computer, although this is the software that gives me a
splitting headache...

...and I'm not sure how you'd get "scammed" from the GlobalCoherence
software, since it's free. If you don't like it, remove it from your
computer.
