We have an old car which we are looking to sell and which could be suitable
for someone with ES. We got it for Sue when she was severely ES 4 years ago
and it was the only car she could drive. Cars with central locking gave her
particular problems, but all modern electronic gadgetry was bad for her.
This car has none! We also removed the speakers (magnetic fields) and even
the radio. However she is now well enough to drive normal cars again.

The car is a Peugeot 205 hatchback dating back to 1987 (F reg), still
running well at about 110,000 miles. There is no electronic ignition, fuel
injection, computerisation or central locking. We have also been careful to
avoid air fresheners and perfumes etc! It generally runs well although,
like most cars of that era, it is sometimes not so happy starting on cold
winter mornings. Obviously we will not be looking for much money for it,
but we hope it could provide a real help to someone with ES and help get
them mobile again, as it did with Sue. We're based in the south of England,
though the car is currently in Wales with an ES friend who has temporarily
borrowed it.
