I have SAD and I use a light box. I measured it with my gauss meter and it is surprisingly low on emissions (in the 50-60Hz range). At the distanceI need to sit from it (18") the amount is just room ambient reading. Maybe it's shielded. It has full spectrum bulbs and is Northern Lights brand. I also take Vitamin D - 2000IU a day and it definitely helps but even withall that I find the dark days somewhat oppressive.
