Only just saw this post. I am coming from an ME/CFS perspective where the advice is that EPA is better taken alone without DHA - i'd need to look up the literature on it to explain to you why and I don't have it to hand at the moment, but if you google "Vegepa", which is the omega 3 supp I take, it will explain why on its website. It is based on research by a UK doctor called Basant Puri who has published a book [or maybe 2] on the subject. I wastaking 4 capsules per day - and this stuff is very expensive - and have had to stop for a bit because my system is upset and I have had to go off allsupps to work out what is happening - I am feeling the ES really badly andwould be fairly sure that it is the absence of the EPA which has made the ES bad. Wish I could go back on it!!!

Is DHA not good to have. I use a fish oil that has both DHA & EPA? What is the effect?

Yes Kooky I'd agree with this too - I was until about 6 weeks ago having dreadful problems with neurological and cognitive functioning [panic i am only in my early 40s] - but then started taking a particular brand of fish oilrecommended in the UK for PWME  called VEgepa - it has epa and no dhain it and is supposed to be a formulation which is designed to treat the neuro defecit in PWME [which I have] - I had heard rave reports of people using it on the net and thought I have to at least give this stuff a try  - prior to that I had been using eskimo oil which is also well recommended but that formulation contains DHA and is supposed to make the EPA less effective or bioavailable - anyway I have noticed 2 things 1. the ES is nowhere  near as bad - and that is the only change I have made [had been using the bioprotect card for months before so it can't be that ] and 2. mycognitive functioning has improved greatly - not wonderful but less wordsearching
and more able to remember things without bhaving to write everything down all the time.

Georgio:  I totally agree with you.  No matter what, EMF/ES causes damage to DNA strands.  Our reactions manifest themselves in an obvious way, whilst others may not react strongly, but, are still suffering from damage leading to glycation, genetic mutation etc... 

The bottom line, regardless of symptoms, EMF/ES should be avoided. 

After reading the research, and watching Dr Carlo's lectures, I am now spending minimum time on the computer.  I do not have satellite or cable TV, never use hair dryers etc... keep electrical gadgets to a bare minimum.

Although this is anecdotal, it is true.  Someone I know, was literallydeveloping signs of Alzheimer's.  It was difficult to have a conversation with her.  She also told me of her cat going psycho. 

I told her about EMF/ES, and to turn the Internet off, to get rid of cable TV, etc...  within her days, her symptoms improved,  Previously, she could not have a conversation of 30 mins without waffling, searching for words, severe short term memory loss.

Last night, we chatted for three hours, she only searched for words twice!!  Her memory was almost back to normal!! 

Her cat is no longer acting psycho, it is now purring ...

According to me, all these products are good ... for the manufactirers and sellers !!!

According to my (indirect) experience, when we were in the s... with the mywife's condition at the lowest , we tried alternatives like omeopathic products or rocks, BioProtect , etc. : they work only if he/she TRUST completely on those things !

But, when you take the matter with scientific/technica l approach , you'll arrive at the conlusion that the best solution is TO ESCAPE EMFs !
