Hi Paul,
I am familiar with a "retraining the brain" method in another aspectof my life. Moshe Feldenkrais' work on rewiring the brain for back and neck issues is used worldwide. 5 years ago I bought CD's from Anat Baniel
http://www.anatbanielmethod.com/. Anat was Moshe's student.
After two months of following 12 lessons religiously I relearned to stand properly and to walk without being hunched over. I retrained my brain to use a different, or proper, muscle group to straighten up. Also I am free from the lower back pain caused by serious disc herniation and functional scoliosis, due to being a "Hunchback of Notre Dame" for so many years. LOL. My mother used to slap me across my back and scream, "straighten up." Needless to say, that did not work. No one believes me that I did exercises and my mother is proud that her slapping me worked. Ignoramuses.
I do not know why the concept of retraining my brain for my back madesense to me right away. I guess because it is physical as well as mental.
I have read "the brain that changes itself" and I need to get my head to thinking it possible.
I see that Anat Baniel on her new website talked to Merzenich whose work is heavily quoted by Norman Doige too.
There are many questions in my mind since I do not know how would this workon ES. I still have some metal crowns in my mouth. Until the last of them comes out in December my brain will always "short circuit around them"...or so I think.
Keeping our minds open is important and let's hope we hear from others who were successfully in curing themselves. If not from ES but at least of MCS. Mmm did I say at least...

I think everyone in this group should explore:
http://www.mcscure. com and
give your feedback, it is also a cure for esens. I have extensively gone
through the website and read the book 'the brain that changes itself' and
i've had several correspondances with Annie. The website is incredibly
well organized and Annie seems very thoughtful and genuine. The problem is
she is working on a dvd / book but it won't be out for several months, so
the only way to learn these brain retraining technigues is to spend $1000
and go to a 3-day seminar. However everythng I am hearing from her on the
website and book does make sense, and at least in my life does explain my
issues - ie it seems my esens and mcs is completely unchanged by any health
habits i have (ie detox, eating well, eating bad, drinking alchohol seems to
have absolutely no effect on my symptoms). And if anyone knows anyone who
has personal experience with the seminar or Annie I would really like to
hear from you.
