I've been shielding my house for quite a long time now. I never stop. I live in a mobile home with aluminum siding and two aluminum roofs. I've shielded the inside walls as well. It could take a lot of shielding but you would want to shield one side of the house that faces the neighbors house. I'm not sure if I'd want to use aluminum though cause then you'll be bouncing stuff back at you that is coming from the other direction.
