AH! A diamond in the rough!

I've been saying all along, each piece of equipment, or each circuit
board design, is different. Some are noisy and drive you away in 5
minutes, others are very tolerable for hours.

Did you find out what brand and model it is?
Motherboard ______________
Power supply ______________
and Video card ______________
are the big offenders, or keystones to the puzzle.

Knowing those details, you could duplicate the base components of the
system and have a good chance of getting another quiet computer yourself.

Just being a laptop doesn't guarantee anything less in RF emissions,
only the lack of a field from the AC transformer (when on battery power).
