Thanks Diane
I think I spoke too soon about feeling better. I cannot for the life of me work out why but whether it was the very windy weather or something my symptoms all flared up last week and stayed up so I am in the same boat as you, desperately trying to stay away from all things electronic. There is only so much time you can spend reading a newspaper isn't there?!!! Hope that the electronic purdah is helping you at least. And you are lucky in that you have someone medical who recognises and acknowledges your condition. I was almost going out of my mind at the weekend trying to work out what had caused the flare up and unable to talk to anyone about it.
Take care
Steph

Hi again, Steph,
I have used Jarrow and Prohealth in the past. Liked both, but had problems with Prohealth after I was dxed with celiac because they would sometimes tell me their products were gf, but I reacted to them (like they were not). Other than that, tho, both companies had good quality supplements. There was a liquid free amino complex that I used from Prohealth for awhile that was awesome--it really helped me alot at the time. Prohealth was founded by a person with CFS (ME) and they cater mostly to that community. You could get good discounts if you had CFS/ME back when Iordered there (you had to have membership in one of the CFS newsletters/ journals) .
Hope you are soon feeling better,
Diane

Hi Ada
I spoke too soon!!! Have had a very bad 24 hours with fatigue and headache, but I am hoping that will pass.
Good to hear from you - how are things going with you? Any improvements?
On the supplement front, I previously would have used a lot of Solgar products because they were supposed to be fairly high quality from most of what I have read, and I'd have bought them from an independent health food shop close to me. Recently however I have been going online to buy certain supplements - I have bought some from www.zipvit.com
which is good on price and service, although I have no way of knowing how good they would be on quality. I have also been trying to get personal recommendations from others of products they have tried, for example, I recentlyordered Vitamin B12 from www.nutricentre. com - these were the Jarrow product of Methylcobalamin vitamin B 12 and also Vitamin D3 which I ordered from www.prohealth. com - Prohealthis a US company and the shipping charges are expen sive to ship to the UK. For example, the product I bought cost$5.49, and the shipping charges cost $10.99. A health column in the Sundaytimes would have recommended supplements from a UK company called VictoriaHealth, but I have not so far even looked at their products so don't know much about them.
I hope this is of some help.
Best wishes
Steph
PS I'll post you when I get a date for my surgery - they gave me a date butI couldn't take it because I had the flu so i don't know when I will go back into the theatre lists.

Hi Marc
Just trying it was good enough for me! I will definitely be giving this a go - as I said before I don't expect it to necessarily "cure" my ES, but it could be one more tool in the armoury of making my system stronger sothat I don't feel its effects so much. I will have to postpone starting ituntil after I have had my surgery and got better from that because I read that once you start on the protocol you can't have a break from it or you end up making yourself worse. And I can't see the hospital letting me ait bymy bedside with a blender and cottage cheese and flax oil - I can just seewhat they'd be adding to my patient notes :-) !!
When I get as far as I think I can with it I will post on the group to let people know what I think of it. Two things I have done recently which have definitely helped me was just before Christmas I started taking Vitamin B12supplements and in the New Year I added in Vitamin D3 supplements - not a very scientific way to do it I know because I can't tell which of them is doing me the most good, but they have definitely produced an improvement. I don't "feel" the electricity so much, and am in less pain and feel less vibrations. I'm in a semi rural location at the minute [which is probably alsohelping] and haven't yet road tested this in an urban environment so I will need to see how that goes. I did try a big shopping centre, but unfortunately had the ususal problems with the lighting but staying out of those places is no hardship to me.
Best wishes
Steph

It'd be more impressive if I had bought a hand blender to mix it with... :-)
Let us know how you react to this mixture -- I seemed a bit more energetic
after trying 1 TBSP flax + 2 TBSP cottage cheese.
