For those of you who remember their high school chemistry
periodic tables, "Hg" is mercury. :-)
As for whether taking copper in a supplement is a bad thing, I don't
think it's necessarily a bad thing. Does it also have zinc in
it? Zinc and copper are supposed to be in the body in a certain
ratio, and taking too much of one will deplete you of the other.
And again, it's really hard to pinpoint how important copper
toxicity is in the big picture, as there are thousands of
toxins that could be causing problems. That's why I tend
to think of "detox" as a generalized concept, although
people like to focus on specific things like mercury,
aluminum, lead, etc.
