Yes, I was in a similar situation. My hair tests showed copper levels
so high that the doctor thought it must be an error. I also had symptoms
of a zinc deficiency (poor immune system, no sense of smell, etc.), so
that was also an indicator of a zinc/copper imbalance. I did not go
to the effort of eliminating high-copper foods, but I did spend years
working on heavy metal detoxification. The primary concern was
mercury, but reducing mercury from the body and reducing copper
from the body can be pretty similar. I certainly did improve a lot,
although it's hard to say for sure what caused the improvements.
I know that I've attributed it to detox, better nutrition, and EMF
protection devices. How much copper played a role, I have no idea.
I did get another hair test from a different lab years later, and
this time copper was not high.
