With all respect to Bruno for raising questions about this stuff,
and bringing in some science, I know, as a scientist, that scientists
are often wrong, even when ROFLOL...
QuantumByte software could be a scam and certainly doesn't work by
inducing superconductivity. But if people say it works, perhaps it does,
and maybe they don't want people to know how. I've noticed that my
symptoms get worse when the computer is doing more intensive tasks,
and obviously it would be possible to alter the OS so that the computer
just didn't do certain things, (e.g. swapping) or did things at a more
constant
pace (presumably at some hit to performance, which they man not want to
advertise).
There certainly is such thing a negative hydrogen ion:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_anionagain it may have nothing to do with how or why the product may or may
not work.
I'm sure there are plenty of scams, and when someone has only tried
one or two products, the placebo effect can dominate. Marc has tried
a lot of stuff, and some of what he reports makes a lot of sense.
I avoid products that work by some mechanism that I can't understand,
but given that the majority of the scientific establishment is convinced
(based on a dozen or so poorly designed experiments) that my illness
is BS, I'm not one to disavow the experiences of others unless there
is much stronger evidence that the effects are psychological.
But please don't try to sell me a little pendant.
