New cars have many more electronic gadgets (speed control on steering
wheel, read outs, power seats, seat warmers, electric windows, etc.)
I recommend finding a simple stick shift without all the extras.
The less wiring around you the better.
Shielding the distributor cap might help as well as getting a grounding
strap from lessemf.

Reducing body voltage as well as the magnetic fields from the wiring is
the main goal to me.

There are plug in to cig lighter filters you can buy to supposedly
reduce emf. I tried it and not sure it made any difference.
