Thanks for the info. The dish is active (not sure whether powered) in
fact I'm in the process of cancelling that service and getting cable
internet. And I am directly under the dish. That room has the highest
radio signals in the house. I'm only using a zapchecker so my
measurements are relative. I can't check frequency. Odd's are it is
using WiMax.

Logic dictates that the dish, which focuses signals, is the most
logical source. Could be neighbors but I'll have to wait for the dish
to be gone to test. The cable (coax?) to the satellite dish is
connected to a linksys router with an adapter. So if it is powered it
would be via power over ethernet. I'm not familiar with how dishes are
powered or whether they are just passive.
