Meters are a good investment, but most are not sensitive enough to
pick up ground currents. They are usually around 0.1 to 0.01 milligauss,
unless you're somewhere quite remote, at the end of electric service,
or away from it, where it can be .001 milligauss. The tri-field meter with
external 100x probe (on top of the 100x internal amplification) can detect
.002.
