As for reacting to cell towers, there is one
in particular that is a nuisance (rt 78 E Exit 24)
in Jersey. It's at ground level.

Sometimes I hear a low frequency hum. Just yesterday
60 seconds after passing this tower my tinnitus flared
up and then I got pain in my ear.
