Yes, the prices for these professionals are high. However, I called one last year locally (not the man you are referring to) and she spoke to me for nearly an hour (on her dime--it was a call back) and told me everything Ineeded to know for free! She even told me that I would be foolish to spend the money it would cost to have her out to look at the problem when I essentially already knew what the problem was and just needed good info on remediation. She then gave me all the advice for remediation for free! So, while I am not saying this will work for you, it never hurts to ask. :)
