Hi, Eli,
I have the "crickets" and "train" tinnitus you mention all the time and have had for decades. I have thought this likely not to have alot to do with EMFs, tho I could of course be wrong. :) But like you, I have many other tones and thought they tend to follow with various illnesses I have had (thus I no longer have a few, since I have recovered from a number of problems). For instance, I used to have loud "ocean waves". They were like roaring waves of water. Haven't had them since 2000. I had at least two big changes in 1999-2000: went gf for celiac disease, and recovered from variousnutritional deficiencies related to that, in particular, anemias from B12 and iron deficiency. Now I never thought of them in the EMF light, just assymptoms of other illness; but that is an interesting thought. Have you seen any research on this?
Thanks,
Diane

Your lucky if you only hear one tone. I tend to rate the
severity of my tinnitus on a daily basis. The goal is to
associate the tinnitus with a cause. There are several tones/noises
that are heard:
death tone: this is a low frequency tone, probably 60 Hz.
It's intolerable when loud, thus the name.
crickets: this is a high frequency noise that sounds like
a thousand crickets. This is caused by RF and is always prevalent.
This may also be caused by so called dirty electricity, cell phones,
computers.
laser: when the crickets get really bad, it turns into a
high frequency tone which I compare to a dentist's drill; a
horrible experience, and only occurs when things are really bad.
train: this is the sound a train makes when the the wheels
lock up and screech along the tracks. This tone is almost
always there. This may also be from dirty electricity or the
electro pollution from cell towers, etc.
tone a: a distinct tone that is usually from using a
computer/keyboard/mouse. It was reduced after shielding my
trackball. This is probably similar to what you are hearing.
tone b: yet another computer related tone.
