Allow me to restate, without expousing
sweeping generalizations...

It has been concluded through by my own meager
experiements that when shielding cell or cordless
phones with mu metal, the most effective configuration
is to cover the entire perimeter of the phone,
and antenna. Shielding only one side leads to far
less RF attenuation.
