I agree completely with Emil. Those little beads others sell are probably
a waste of money. If I had to hold a shield to my head, I would certainly
want
a shield that covers the whole phone (and lessemf sells them). I'm not
sure about the relative merits of that kind of shield, versus speaker phone
mode, versus a wired head set (preferably with air tube). But I no longer
feel safe with a cell phone on within 10 feet of me. Even with a perfect
shield there is potential for reflections, plus damage to people near you.
Pagers that only receive should be considered. Also, there exist (I think)
infrared head sets, although the one I saw advertised was for car use
and not actually in stock.
