That's a good way to do it, as so many people are under the belief
that the Quantum Byte *must* work by the placebo effect (for lack
of any better explantion as to how it might work), while I (who
have used this software for years) am convinced that it actually
does things that cannot be explained by the placebo effect.
I would say that setting it all the way to high ("20") may be
overdoing it in some cases. More is not neccessarily better,
and some experimentation (or muscle testing) could be used to
figure out the optimum setting for your husband.

They don't counteract each other, but again, you may get yourself
into a situation where you are overdoing it, and thus getting
adverse reactions that you wouldn't get by using them individually.
People's reactions to these sorts of devices are highly variable,
so I cannot really say what reaction your husband might have.
I *can* say that I *have* tried using the EarthCalm and the Quantum
Home together in one place, and it made me uncomfortable and my
EMF tolerance dropped compared to just using the Quantum Home
by itself. Also, there is big difference in my reaction to
the Earthcalm pendant versus the plugin unit, so that's
yet another variable.
However, some combination of devices work pretty well together.
For example, I use Springlife Polarizers combined with Quantum
products, and that seems to work well for me, but again I've
had to find the appropriate sized models depending on the
situation.
