I am to speak next Sunday at the memorial of a friend who had MCS and EMF. His widow
wants me to explain the conditions for their acquaintances who had never heard of it until
it was mentioned in his obituary. He did not speak about it with many people. He got sick
about the time he retired, so he didn't have to let anyone at his work know.  

I can explain MCS pretty easily, but really don't know how to explain EMF.I am a writer of
a newspaper column in which I easily discuss MSC, but even though I've had EMF
symptoms for a year and a half, I have never mentioned it. I guess I'm tooafraid they will
send out the guys in the white coats to take me to the funny farm. "I can feel
electromagnetic waves in my head when the refrigerator turns on," just sounds like
something one would see in a sensational tabloid next to a story about being abducted by
aliens.  

Most of what I've found in my research is too technical for me to get into in a 3 minute
speech. (I get three minutes to explain MCS and three to explain EMF).  

Has anyone else found a way to explain this? I'm not even sure I personally understand
how chemical sensitivity and EMF are connected.  

Any help is appreciated.
