Welcome to the group, Aline!
I think that some ceiling fans may produce a field even
if they are switched off. Especially the ones which have
remote speed controls or other fancy settings. Otherwise,
you are correct that any metal parts in the fan (and in
the wires leading up to the fan) can concentrate fields
from the environment.
Also, you shouldn't pay too much attention to your tri-field
meter. It may not be measuring the frequencies or fields
that you are most sensitive to, and also people who are
sensitive can be more sensitive than meters!
It certainly could be helpful to get rid of your metal
dental work. But you should get a good dentist who takes
the proper precautions (I suspect that Maui would have
someone like that, as I recall there being a lot of
good health food stores there). But eliminating the
fillings is just the start -- you also have to get
the accumulated metals out of the rest of your body.
I've also had good results from nutrition and EMF
protection devices, although it was a terribly long
and expensive period of trial & error to determine
what worked the best for me.
