Metal conducting electricity

Hi to all and greetings from Maui.

I am becoming increasingly aware of and bothered by EMFs but am also
bothered by the proximity of (switched off) ceiling fans. I know they
do not produce an electromagnetic field when switched off so I'm
hoping that somebody here can help me understand what I may be
experiencing (mainly so I can explain it to my husband who thinks I
am imagining it - I'm sure you've heard that one before!).

I read somewhere that metal becomes magnetised by electromagnetic
energy and also that it conducts it (apparently some people have a
problem with mattresses with metal springs in them) so I am wondering
if something like this is happening.

I find using a computer pretty uncomfortable these days - I feel
impacted on the front of my body (in my 'energy centers' and on my
skin) I got myself a trifield meter and I notice that EMF readings
are negligible at the distance I sit at so I am guessing that
my body is like a conductor and the energy flows towards me when I am
near an electromagnetic field. I have a mouthfull of amalgam fillings
(which I am going to get rid of) so maybe that is a factor.

Does anyone have any knowledge or thoughts about that?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
