Hi Vinny These symptoms are not confined to LCD monitors.
I have a CRT monitor and have become sensitive. I have ears ringing
all the time, the sceen looks brighter than normal at the average
screen brightness levels and if I use the computer for too long it
looks really really bright whatever brightness level it is on.
I bought a screen filter which stops 99%of vlf and elf electric
fields and this has helped although I still have the symptoms but
they take a bit longer to get worse than they did before. I cannot
watch the big widescreen TV we have at all now because it looks
really bright all the time and is now starting to look kind of fuzzy
now as well as if I can see the electricity on the screen. I gather
that the electric fields from LCD monitors do not reach nearly as far
as those of CRT monitors and I have heard that LCD monitos often
produce less symptoms than CRT ones do. One other problem I think I
have with my computer is that I sit close to the case with the
components in and I read that the hard drive has a stong field. I
don't know if you know this aleady but at electrosensitivity.org the
owner of the site uses a projector to watch TV and use the computer
on and he says he gets no symptoms at all from this. I'm guessing
this is mainly because of the distance he sits away from the devices.
I also have symtoms from fridges radios and I can also feel the
fields from the big TV when I am upstairs and the Tv is downstairs so
it is notjust from looking at the screen that the symptoms arise.
There is alot of talk about heavy metals being to blame on here and
some people are sying that their symptoms have lessened after
detoxing. I actually wonder if the metals go to the side of your head
that you normally sleep on because on one side of my head my ear
rings alot more than the other. Or if that sides begins to conduct
electricity more because of the currents running through the metal in
the mattress.
Hope this is useful
