My medallion is the shining silver with the brass tabs. My husband's
is the brushed silver with gold tabs. At the time, I bought them for looks
not thinking that one was stronger than another.
These medallions are recommended by Dr. Wayne Dyer and his wife.
I don't know how often I change the batteries on the TV, etc. I don't think that it is more often than every six months. I just muscle check them ever so often to see if they are still working.

The name of the Medallion is BioElectric Shield, company.
I bought one for my husband and one for myself in the year
2000. As I recall they each cost $250.
I reactivated my husband's as well for him to wear to work.
OOPs! I forgot to describe it.
The medallions are round, and about the size of a silver dollar.
Mine is all silver with a satin rope ribbon to hang it over
my heart. My husband's is brushed silver with gold, with a silver
chain to wear it over his heart.
And, yes, it was commercially available. If they are still in
business, one can probably find them on the internet.
