And how frequently do you change the battery on top of your computer
monitor? Do you think the battery has become "dead", or perhaps
it has instead loaded up on negative energy like a quartz crystal?

I note that when I use my computer at work, I have a Quantum
Companion sitting on my desk, and it contains inside of it
a single, rechargable NIMH AA battery (although I don't
know if that has anything to do with anything)
