Hi again, Troy,
First and foremost, avoiding and eliminating as many toxins as possible from my environment has helped. This included, for me, many foods, esp gluten grains and bean and soy flours, almost all processed foods, sugar and sweeteners of all ilks. I also eliminated all cleaning chemicals, anti-perspirants, hair spray, makeup, etc, etc, etc. No teflon, petrochemicals, and I avoid chlorine and fluoride and as much plastics as possible, tho I find these to be evermore elusive. I avoid exhaust fumes and smoke from fires and ciggies, etc, as much as possible. I also avoid emfs and the like as much as possible.
EFT and slapping above my wrists and ankles, the top of my head, beating on my breast bone, collar bone, etc, seems to help me. (When I am feeling brain foggy and like my lymphs are sluggish.)
Very low carb diet helps get the toxins out of fat, but once you get them out you have to be able to get them totally out of the body, which is where I have had most problems. Even so, I have done alot along that line which includes:
Epsom salts and sea salt soaking (helps to open pores in skin and pulls out debris);
Showering and washing hair at least once a day--I mainly detox thru my skin and scalp, so this has been important for me. I should actually do it much more often than that but there are only so many minutes in a day!
Rebounding on a mini-tramp (helps lymph fluid to move more effectively)
Drinking alot more water, quality filtered and negative hydrogen ion water (toxic wastes are acidic and can lead to metabolic acidosis)
More electrolytes (and these have even more effect with the alkaline water--has to do with zeta potential of the blood to carry toxins. Snoshoe sent a site awhile back about this which I can resend if you are interested.)
Supplements that help--well, for me, that has been almost every supplement I have tried due to having multiple nutrient deficiencies from celiac disease. However, these are the ones that have helped my lymphatics and their symptoms:
Pantethine--start small and work up to 8 or 10 (300mg) caps/day in 3 doses or more
Calcium AEP--start small and work up to 8 or 10 caps/day in 3 doses or more (this is 100mg calcium 2 amino ethanol phosphate with 900mg of amino ethanol phosphate added)
CoQ10--work up to 300mg/day in divided doses
Molybdenum, chromium picolinate, selenium, alpha lipoeic acid--could barely tolerate each of these at first due to them moving toxins; I had to break apart caps for all of these and the previously listed ones and take fractions of caps to begin with. Molybdenun is something most would not need. I need it because I do not eat grains, but it made a big difference for me.
There are various other supplements that have helped alot but I'm not sure whether it was in a detoxing capacity, so I will stop there.
Since I am having liver detox pathway problems, my nutritionist has suggested new supplements. I have just received these today and have not tried them yet. These are sold by him but you can probably find like products elsewhere:
Sulphur Plus--for the sulphonization pathway--MSM sulphur + Trimethylglycine
Daily Balancer--for the glutathione pathway--it is a mix of amino acids and root extracts
The liver detox pathway problems, we have decided, are probably why I am having problems with many toxins to begin with. I realized this problem while researching detoxing and brought it to his attention.
He also has suggested high fiber which gives the toxins something to hold onto during elimination (6 grams of psyllium or other fiber). But my digestive tract is not able to handle more than half a gram, so we are working on healing my digestive tract further with glutamine, etc. He has made me aware, tho, that this is where I am having a breakdown of moving the toxins out. He was very concerned about this (I wasn't, but he has made me aware that this can be a very dangerous condition, as I am reconcentrating toxins into less fat and more organs if they are not coming out thru bowel, etc, once I mobilize them. He was so concerned that he wants me to stop losing weight and gain weight until I have the fiber problem worked out.)
These are what have helped me (off the top of my head lol),
Diane

I'll keep reading the archived posts here, but it would be great to
hear about any treatments which people have found effective, so I
can post them on the site.
